PASSPORTS AND VISAS

All British Citizens must be in possession of a full 10 year passport and should be valid for six months after leaving your destination. Visas are not required for British Citizens travelling to the islands featured in this site. All non-british citizens should check passport / visa requirements with the appropriate embassy. It is your responsibility to ensure that all your travel documents are in order and in your possession when travelling.

However, regulations can change and it is the responsibility of the traveller to check that they have all the appropriate documentation prior to travel. Further information can be found at http://www.worldtravelguide.net and further UK passport information can be found at www.ukpa.gov.uk. Any non UK nationals should check with the South African Embassy for passport/visa regulations.

Political and other conditions can also vary over time in different countries and travellers are advised to check with the Foreign Office regarding any travel advice prior to travelling.

CARIBBEAN LIFE

The islands of the Caribbean are famous for their slow, easy and laid-back lifestyle and the local inhabitants are generally renowned for their charm and friendliness. Such an environment is the ideal setting for holiday relaxation and the best policy is to adapt to the same attitude as early in your stay as possible.

Before travelling, you should check www.fco.gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo for foreign office information regarding the country you are travelling to.

CARIBBEAN STYLE

The majority of our featured hotels stipulate a casually elegant dress code. During the day swimwear, shorts and tee-shirts are quite acceptable although a cover-up should be worn for lunch and topless or nude sunbathing is not normally permitted. After 6pm, smarter attire is expected in the bar and restaurant areas.

CARIBBEAN CLIMATE

The region enjoys temperatures in the mid 80's throughout the year, with one of the finest climates in the world during the winter months - hot sunshine, cooling breezes and clear blue skies. It's a little hotter during the summer months although tropical showers are more frequent in the autumn. Rainfall is generally overnight or a short sharp downpour in the daytime which is quickly dried up and forgotten.
